The Methodist Church in Malaysia Headquarters would like to welcome Mr. Tan Swee Ann as the new Executive Secretary of our church. He replaces Ms. Jenny Qua who has moved to the Council of Education as the Director of Private Education.

Mr. Tan was a Senior manager in the Information Technology field. He had worked in the IT industry for more than 35 years. Upon his return from the United Kingdom after obtaining his B. Sc (Hons) in Computer Science, he was actively involved in the implementation of some major IT projects in both the public and private sectors in Malaysia.

Mr. Tan has also been a servant of the Lord, in the Methodist Church, serving in various capacities for many years. He served as the LCEC chairman and lay leader in Klang Chinese Methodist Church (KCMC) for many years (1989 – 2005). He was the chairman for the new building project for KCMC and had spent almost 12 years of his time managing the project till its completion in 2012.

He was elected as the Conference Treasurer in Chinese Annual Conference (2005-2017) and General Conference Treasurer (2013-2016). He was also the chairman of the Area Executive Council (P) for the last two quandreniums (2009-2016).

Currently he is a board member of the Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled.

He is married to Susanna Kuan and they have two children Felicia and Daniel.
